Drink plenty of water and avoid alcoholic drinks
Drink plenty of water (and we’re talking about a gallon of water here) the day before the wedding. If you’re not a big water drinker already, make sure to do this a week before the wedding.
Commit to drinking one gallon of water a day for the last seven days of your single blessedness. Your skin will have that healthy glow you want and you’ll also feel a lot better because of hydration.
Another thing you need to remember about your fluid intake is to avoid drinking alcoholic drinks the night before your Lakeland wedding photography shoot. Skip the cocktails during the rehearsal dinner since you’ll have plenty of time for that on your wedding day. Alcohol will make your skin puffy and dry. You don’t want your makeup artist to deal with that.
This should be something you’re doing even if you are not going to tie the knot. Cosmetic and skincare products now have exfoliants that you can use daily. If you’re already on your late 20s, there is no better time to start exfoliating your skin of dry skin.
The night before the big day, leave your exfoliating cream for more than 10 minutes. That will leave your skin feeling soft and smooth.
Ice your skin
Ice? What do we mean by ice? It means getting a glass of ice-cold water and washing your face with it. This is a good tip to remember if you want your skin to have that pinkish glow. The cold helps bring that color to your face. Plus, it will freshen up the feeling. Do it every night for about two weeks before your wedding.
Eat foods that are good for the skin
A dermatologist advised brides to eat salmon for breakfast as it gives a pinkish glow to your skin. Some other healthy foods for the skin are avocados, walnuts, sunflower seeds, sweet potatoes, red or yellow bell peppers, broccoli, and tomatoes. Try to munch on these weeks before the wedding.
Skip the facial treatments
While facial treatments are nice if you’re maintaining your healthy skin care, it’s not advisable for people who are going to get married (unless you do it at least two weeks before the big day). Even if your skin is used to treatments, you’ll be surprised to find out that some of these treatments can cause skin irritation and might make your skin look puffy.
