The Lakeland Wedding Photography Process and What to Expect

by | Jul 4, 2019

If this is your first time working with a Lakeland wedding photography team, the entire thing can seem pretty daunting. You’re going to be paying a professional to capture moments from one of the most important days of your lives, and you’re not entirely sure how to go about doing this.

Fortunately, if you’ve hired a professional, they will know what they’re doing and will help guide you through the entire process. To help you out with this, here is everything that you need to know about the Lakeland wedding photography process and what you, as the client, should expect.

Pre-wedding

You should know that the process of dealing with your wedding photography and vendors begins way before your wedding day has even arrived. If you’re shopping around for the right wedding photographer, you should always do your research.

Some photographers have specific styles that you may be partial to or don’t like, so make sure you take a good look at the kind of work that they do and see if it fits into the vision that you have for your own wedding.

Once you’ve found the right photography team, try to meet them in person to discuss any specifics that they should be aware of for the wedding day. Go over their contract and make sure that you provide them with the paperwork that they may ask for.

The wedding day

Now that the day of the wedding is here, you are probably a bundle of nerves right now. However, you should stay calm and focus on getting ready for the wedding.

To make things easier for your wedding photographer, you should provide them with a shot list, which is a list of shots that they might ask from you which details specific shots that you want from the day.

This helps provide the photographer with a good idea of what kind of photos you want for your wedding. Make sure that you listen to your Lakeland wedding photography team and their instructions to help make sure that they get the right shot.

Also, don’t treat your photography team as someone to boss around to take photos. It’s bad form to order them around during the reception while everyone else gets to sit down and eat. Make sure that you give them enough time to get the shots that they need, as well as enough time to rest, take a breather, and eat something. They’re not robots.

Post-wedding

Now that the wedding is done, it’s time to let out that breath that you’ve been holding for the past few months and wait for your shots. Lakeland wedding photography teams don’t release your full gallery of shots unless they’ve been paid in full, so make sure that you get that sorted out beforehand.

Depending on the agreement, your photographer will provide the images in a USB or CD which they will deliver, or send it via email. All you have to do now is to share your photos with your friends and family.
